Social Studio just becomes more and more powerful with every Salesforce release. And with the August 2019 update, the social listening tool offers more capabilities for users that do a lot of ads and boosting on Facebook (in this age of digital marketing, who doesn’t?).
Here are the highlights of the August 2019 Social Studio Release:
- Manage Google My Business Social Reviews in Social Studio
- Boost Facebook Posts in Social Studio
- Use Call to Action in Facebook Posts and Facebook Carousel Posts in Social Studio
- Get the Complete Customer Picture with Contact Connector for Social Studio
- View Demographics for a Persona Group in Social Studio
- Add LinkedIn Videos to LinkedIn Company Pages
Let’s unpack these new features and capabilities.
Manage Google My Business Social Reviews in Social Studio
Salesforce’s Google integration increases Social Studio functionality by allowing users to monitor and engage social reviews with Social Review Management – Integration. No more need to switch between different social media and review management platforms. Just use a Google My Business account with location pages in Social Studio Create then create engage columns in Social Studio to monitor customer conversations, get real-time feedback, and react immediately to positive and negative reviews.
Note that this is an add-on purchase.
Boost Facebook Posts in Social Studio
What did we say? Social Studio is getting more and more powerful, now with the ability to not just publish your content but also boost it without having to leave the Salesforce platform. Just register your Facebook Ad accounts in Social Studio Admin and assign them to your workspace. Both scheduled and published Facebook content may be boosted via Social Studio Publish.
Use Call to Action in Facebook Posts and Facebook Carousel Posts in Social Studio
Salesforce is intent on making Social Studio a true-blue all-in-one social platform. With the latest iteration of the tool, content creators are now able to add Call-to-Action to Facebook Link and Carousel posts to align the content with their marketing goals.
Get the Complete Customer Picture with Contact Connector for Social Studio
Salesforce ups the ante on providing a single view of the customer with Contact Connector. Combine your Social Studio with Contact Connector to see if a customer already has a case open in Service Cloud and make an informed decision on how to engage with the said customer. Contact Connector also shows whether a customer has a social persona in Salesforce, allowing you to see their Salesforce record when viewing the post author information.
View Demographics for a Persona Group in Social Studio
You can now easily view the demographics of your reached audience via Social Studio Analyze. Check out your persona group dashboards to see the breakdown of your audience’s ages, gender, and locations. This makes it easier to identify if you’re reaching your intended audience and curate content accordingly.
Add LinkedIn Videos to LinkedIn Company Pages
LinkedIn company pages may now publish videos straight from Social Studio. Just make sure the video you’re uploading meets LinkedIn’s specifications:
- Maximum length: 10 minutes
- Maximum file size: 200 MB
- Maximum resolution: 4096 pixels x 2304 pixels
- Aspect Ratio: 1:2.4 to 2.4:1
- Frame RateL 10–60 fps
- Bit Rate: 192 kbps to 30 Mbps
Social Studio’s calendar will only display video posts that were created in Salesforce.
